Demo Impressions: Heavy Rain in HD Video

The “Four Days Challenge,” a cleverly concocted viral marketing campaign, went public on the 26th of January. The challenge played out as a wild, internet goose chase, where eager followers of the upcoming interactive murder-mystery Heavy Rain scouted various social media websites for a taste of “killer” goodness. The mysterious “Origami Killer” as well as the game’s haunting tagline persisting “What would you do for love?” had me, a doomed lemming of game designer David Cage, enamored from the get-go. But this post does get me motivated to look through my old stuff to see if I can make some money. Last week, North Carolina eBay user lace_thongs35 put up her old NES on Ebay when she was going through her stuff. My bet is she didn’t realize how much money she would get for it. When the auction finished, the NES sold for $13,105. Not bad for a toy from the 80s. Unfortunately for us, this NES auction was not just the system. Lace_thongs35 also included an obscure 1987 release called Stadium Events, and the original cardboard box. Fewer

    Barbie’s New Job is…..

A little while ago, Trina was promoting in the forums and on twitter that we can vote on Barbie’s new job via the website. Barbie for over 50 years has had 124 job including such favorites as Nascar driver, Astronaut, Stewardess. There where many options available to cast your vote for. Now that the votes are cast Barbie’s newest job is…Computer Software Engineer. What was interesting is that fact that Mattel worked in conjunction with the Society of Women Engineers and the National Academy of Engineering in order to create accessories and a wardrobe that reflected the industry. In the press release there was a statement from Nora Lin, who is the President of the Society of Women Engineers.  “All the girls who imagine their futures through Barbie will learn that engineers – like girls – are free to explore infinite possibilities, limited only by their imagination, As a computer engineer, Barbie will show girls that
