Disney Bringing High-Speed Racing and Murder Mysteries to Consoles This Year

Disney Interactive Studios’ Split/Second racing game will be released on May 18 of this year. The title, which received the Game Critics Award for Best Racing Game of E3 2009, follows a fictional reality TV show where each race knocks out opponents.
Disney’s other announcement came first during Nintendo’s press event today. Disney Guilty Party is a Wii-exclusive family-friendly mystery party game that will be released in the second half of this year. Guilty Party lets up to four players collaborate as the Dickens Detective Agency as they search for a dastardly villain named Mr. Valentine.
Guilty Party lets you use the Wiimote as various detective tools like a magnifying glass, flashlight, or fingerprint kit. Play takes place in locales around the world, from a high-speed train to an aquarium. Even when you’ve solved the mystery, you can play again – you get new clues, suspects and mini-games every time.
This is the first game developed by Wideload Games for Disney.
