Remember how we pleaded on Twitter, posted a voting link on the site, and generally begged you to vote for us? Well, it’s all paid off now – we won!

Today, Retrevo announced that GamingAngels, along with four other websites (Hawty McBloggy, Play Like a Girl, Press the Buttons and PS3 Vault), won a Golden Retrevo Award in the Gaming category. (The Golden Retrevo Awards recognize the best independent blogs in gaming and seven other categories.)

What do these magical awards mean? Well, it means we get fame and glory, first off. We won an award during the first-ever Retrevo Awards! GamingAngels will also be widely promoted across the Retrevo site. The other thing we get is that shiny little badge to the right. I think it fits right in, don’t you?

CEO Trina Schwimmer is pleased with the addition to the trophy cabinet. She said, “I couldn’t be more proud of the work that the GamingAngels staff does on a daily basis.
