Sure, we weren’t expecting to hear much about Project Natal today, but with companies announcing that they’ll be supporting Microsoft’s motion controller, it’s high time for more official news about the peripheral.

Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg told Joystiq that we should expect to see more from the gadget at this year’s E3, but right now, they’re still in a codename state. Project Natal will likely be shown off once again — under a new name — at the June event.

Another interesting tidbit is that Microsoft is considering games for Natal to be an entirely different game category than your usual controller fare.

Greenberg expects Natal to be in “millions of homes” by Holiday 2010 — so we’ve got something to look forward to over the next ten months, if it’s going to be that popular.
