Review: Woolly the Jumper iPhone/ iPod Touch
There is a lot to like about Woolly the Jumper. The game is very stylish and has fun background music. You play as a sheep running from a crazed farmer who robs you of both wool and life.

Woolly uses a trajectory based system to jump from one platform to another across the screen. As you complete these jumps, you can collect cherries to add to your points. There are 4 levels and each increases in difficulty. The jumping is fun but it soon gets frustrating. The trajectory is not perfect. Although the angles all looked correct, I still sometimes missed ledges and ended up back at the first jump. If this were the only issue, the games would still be very addictive. You’ll notice I said “if.” Sadly, it isn’t the case. Woolly is being chased to a farmer who is looking steal your wool. As he takes the wool, he also takes one of your lives. I found it nearly impossible to escape the farmer because once the farmer entered the screen, I was unable to jump or dodge him. This is the biggest problem with the game. Woolly also has a couple of bugs. Sometimes, after completing a series of jumps, my sheep would disappear from the screen entirely. Then the farmer would show up and I’d be out a life.
Fortunately, Woolly the Jumper also comes in a Lite version. I recommend trying it before you buy it.
Woolly the Jumper is Available from the Apps Store for $.99. Woolly the Jumper Lite is also available from the Apps Store and it is free.
