It was announced that the Tokyo Game Show will take place from September 16-19 at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Tokyo. The CESA is focusing this year on drawing in more attendees from Asia by having a special forum dedicated to the Asian gaming industry. They also have said that they plan on teaming up with travel agencies to try and attract more people from Asian markets.

Now we already had a bit of an idea that the convention was going to take place around this time, however it wasn’t clear if they were going to have a three or four day convention. It will be interesting to see how the focus on the Asian gaming industry will fare with the show as a whole, and also if the attendence numbers will pick up from last year.
