Online Game of the Week – Ricochet!

This week’s OGOTW is quickly becoming one of my favorites. All you have to do is click on the game board to move the ball toward your cursor, collecting stars and changing block colors along the way. But be careful not to fall off into the blackness or get caught in a sand trap! Enjoy!

Where to save money this week on games

March is a pretty exciting month for game releases. This week the big releases are Pokemon SoulSilver, HeartGold and God of War III. The line this morning was pretty long and I believe I was the only adult buying it for myself. But I’m okay with that. It’s Nintendo’s fault for making the Pokemon games so addicting. Here are the releases this week: Pokemon SoulSilver Pokemon HeartGold Spectral Force Genesis (DS) God of War III (PS3) Sonny with a Chance (DS) Hidden Mysteries: Buckingham Palace Secrets of Kings & Queens (DS) Pizza Delivery Boy (Wii) Build a Bear: Friendship Valley (Wii) Fragil Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon (Wii) Command & Conquer 4 (PC) Resonance of Fate (PS3,360) Build a Bear Welcome to Hugsville (DS) Dragon Age Origins: Awakening (PC,PS3, 360) Sam and Max 2 Beyond Time and Space (Wii,PC) Infinite Space (DS) Metro 2033 (360, PC) Where to save

    Guest Review: Nostalgia

Nostalgia is a JRPG that hearkens back to the good ol’ days of yore when graphics and game play were of a simpler design. Nostalgia will appeal to a niche group of gamers who miss their Sega Dreamcasts and who still futilely argue that merits of a console that we can’t seem to recognize as dead and move on. This isn’t to say a gamer whose never indulged in the above can’t enjoy this game but it’s best you know what you’re getting yourself into. VIZ cooks up a treat with RISTORANTE PARADISO

Manga author Natsume Ono has just gotten another title released by VIZ – this time it’s the yummy and romantic story of “RISTORANTE PARADISO”. Set in a bistro in Rome, the story explores the romantic relationships that evolve between the staff, plus some saucy sides. Hungry? Sorry about that, but here’s the synopsis anyway: At the age of 21, Nicoletta travels to Rome to find her mother, Olga, who abandoned her long ago. Nicoletta finds her at Casetta dell’Orso, a charming little restaurant owned by Olga’s husband. The staff of bespectacled gentlemen welcomes Nicoletta warmly, but Olga’s reception is not so pleasant. Olga has never told her husband that she had a child – and he must never know. In exchange for Nicoletta’s playing “the daughter of an old friend,” Olga offers her a place to live and an apprenticeship at the restaurant. Nicoletta fits in well among the unique
