Wipeout Title Announced for Wii and DS

So, when I say that there will be a Wipeout game coming to Wii and DS, what do you think? If you’re like me, you remember the Psygnosis racing game from 1995. If you thought that (and really, why wouldn’t you, if you were born before 1989)…well, you’re wrong. Turns out I mean this: Yeah, that’s a man falling on his rear end on the ABC television show Wipeout. (There’s an international version as well, and the whole lot resemble Japanese game shows enough that Tokyo Broadcasting filed a lawsuit! The more you know.) If you haven’t seen this, it’s really just a bunch of people making fools of themselves for money. Which is, to some extent, the plot of roughly 50% of American television at this point. The video game version will allow for up to four competitors to participate as they all battle to become Wipeout champion. (Unfortunately,

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Sets March Sales Records

Yeah, the month’s only about two-thirds over, but EA’s already got it all figured out: Battlefield: Bad Company 2′s already set the sales record in North America and Europe for March with 2.3 units shipped to retailers. (In fact, so many people are playing that it’s a little difficult to keep the servers up, isn’t it?) Metacritic’s been particularly kind to the game, as well, with an overall score of 90. Looks like you’ll have some friends to spam with grenades for a while…or not, if you pay attention to this PSA, modeled after a similar, and more offensive, Modern Warfare 2 video. Best question yet: Can we play as C.C.? I do wonder, however, if they rushed to get this news out to somewhat overshadow Final Fantasy XIII, which is also pulling in some big numbers. If they get it wrong…well, that’s what happens when you decide that March

Trauma Team Video Walkthrough Displays Diagnosis Techniques

In this final Trauma Team video walkthrough, watch what happens when you place a patient under observation to figure out exactly what’s wrong. As Dr. Gabriel Cunningham, you’ll be asking questions and paying attention in order to provide a proper diagnosis. You’ll also be ordering X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs to get more information. It’s a lot like House, M.D. No, really. (If you want the full “House” experience, listen to this video on lower volume while you watch. I listen while I do yoga, and I always want to order a test on someone. I don’t get it.)

New Red Dead Redemption Gameplay Trailer Shows You a Drinkin’, Gamblin’, Herdin’ Cattle Lifestyle

Despite the fact that Red Dead Redemption’s been pushed back to May 18, Rockstar isn’t holding back with the new content, releasing a new trailer today that talks about activities you can do in the Old West, as well as two towns, Nuevo Paradiso (well, that’s ironic) and West Elizabeth. The more I see, the more I start to think that this is just Old West Grand Theft Auto. Not that that’s bad or anything. Haven’t We Seen You Before? FF13 Characters Exposed!!

(May contain spoilers, so read at your own risk!) Final Fantasy is one of those series where fans have been known to nitpick at the smallest details. I am one of those nitpickers, and today, I am nitpicking character design and development. Several of the main Final Fantasy 13 characters bear strong resemblance to people we met in Final Fantasies 7, 8 and 10. Now, while I don’t mind minor similarities for the most part, I do mind when it seems not one of the main cast is 100% original. And not one of them is completely “new” to the franchise. Lightning & Serah Farron Let’s start this off with the Farron sisters. It’s common knowledge that they wanted a female Cloud to lead the cast of FF13, hence the moody facial expression and the wild bangs brushing to the right side of the face. Both wield giant swords and
