A Mother’s Day Gift Idea from Ubisoft

Stuck for a Mother’s Day gift for your Mother? The suggestion coming from Ubisoft is to get her a copy of the fitness release “Your Shape” for Nintendo Wii. Be very careful how you proceed with this my children. The “game” is endorsed by Michelle Bridges (left), who is one of the trainers on Australia’s Biggest Loser shows (when they can’t borrow the American folks). The game has over 500 exercises. It uses the little specially-made 2D camera included to show you working out on the screen and it will correct you if your form is off as well as judging your body shape so it can create exercises to help you work on your problem areas! It will also keep track of your progress, and will let you know when you’ve been slacking off! While I’m not sure it’s the best idea to give your Mum for Mother’s Day

    EVE Online Novel Released Today!

I last mentioned the development of an EVE Online novel from Tor in July, and if you’ve been anxiously waiting the novel, it is now here! EVE: The Burning Life is now available to purchase in bookstores and online. And author Hjalti Daníelsson is said to have done a great job at capturing the EVE universe and bringing this space opera to life. “EVE is a deep, dark, expansive world full of wonder and often quite breathtaking events,” said Daníelsson.  “I’ve been telling stories in there for a few years now and am always amazed at how much the world has to offer.  It’s a very human, often very scary place.” It’s cool to see books coming out for another MMO on the market besides World of Warcraft. I’m a firm believer that these can enhance the gameplay for those who love the games for their stories. It will be

“Mabinogi” Easter Egg Hunt is Egg-citing

Nexon’s “Mabinogi” is going a little Mabin-eggy this week. Why? Easter, of course! An Easter event starting tomorrow rewards players with stat boosts and treats! Just like real Easter! Except the stat boosts in the real-life case are more like “+1 Weight” for eating too many chocolate bunnies. Oops. So, how do you get these bonuses? Well, collecting eggs from hens leads to finding fossilized Easter eggs. These fossils are then extracted quickly, and successfully excavated eggs lead to an Easter Egg Capsule reward. The capsules are full of candy that give your “Egg-scavator” character stat bonuses! Easy as eggs! (Are you tired of the egg jokes yet? I swear I’m done with them. Maybe.) To find out more, and get some practice as well, visit: http://mabinogi.nexon.net.
