GamePro and Princeton Review Join Forces for Top 50 Game Design Schools List
Tweet
Are you wanting to enroll in a Game Design program for your undergraduate college years? Before now, it’s been pretty difficult to choose a program if you’re trying to find the best one. You had to rely on hearsay and marketing from the colleges themselves. But now, you can use one of the same tools that many of your classmates use to figure out where they want to go for their English and History degrees – The Princeton Review. They’ve partnered with GamePro to bring us a list of the top 50 undergraduate programs in Game Design.
Yeah, I never would have expected that partnership either, but with the field basically exploding at this point, it’s a wise decision on the part of the Review. If you want to see the list in its entirety, go here, but keep in mind that the complete Top 50 list is alphabetical. The top 8 ranked schools are listed below.
1. University of Southern California (Los Angeles, CA)
2. DigiPen Institute of Technology (Redmond, WA)
3. Drexel University (Philadelphia, PA)
4. Becker College (Worcester, MA)
5. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, NY)
6. The Art Institute of Vancouver (Vancouver, BC)
7. Worcester Polytechnic Institute (Worcester, MA)
8. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge, MA)
Commentary on this list is here, including tuition amounts and student:faculty ratios.
