Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Gets the Vaguest of Release Dates, Along with Screenshots
Tweet
Square Enix announced an actual time to expect to get Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. But before you go off putting together your costume for the midnight release, there’s a little bit of info you need.
First off, you don’t know what day you need that costume yet. Square Enix has only said so far that the release will happen this summer. That’s a three-month period (or, if you live where I do, more like five months).
But of course, they want to get you hyped up about it now, rather than later. So, they’ve let a little slip. Including screenshots from the English version. But I’ll get to those in a second.
Birth by Sleep tells the story of three youths before Sora’s time: Terra, Ventus, and Aqua, all of whom are training to become Keyblade Masters. But as usual, crisis happens, and they’re stuck fixing it. (We sure do leave the fate of the world up to kids a lot, don’t we?)
The game includes Disney worlds we haven’t seen yet, like Sleeping Beauty’s “Enchanted Dominion,” Cinderella’s Castle of Dreams, Dwarf Woodlands, and Deep Space from Lilo and Stitch.
To get the whole story, you have to play the whole game as each character, and the game includes four multiplayer modes as well as some features exclusive to the North American release.
Now, about those screenshots…ah, here they are.
