Lilith Fair is back!

Lilith Fair was the largest touring festival in the world from 1997 to 1999. Not only was it the largest, but it was the only tour that was a celebration of women in music. We often talk about when discussing our love for musical video games, that there just aren’t enough women in music. This tour helps to expose the women that are making music and now Lilith Fair co-founder, Terry McBride announced that Lilith Fair will be making a return in Summer 2010.
This last week, the 2010 Lilith Tour announced more additions to the confirmed female acts. This is an amazing list of women that I can’t wait to see live. The new acts include: Kelly Clarkson, The Bangles, The Go-Go’s, Courtyard Hounds (Emily Robison and Martie Maguire of the Dixie Chicks), Martina McBride, Suzanne Vega, Anjulie, Anya Marina, Jesca Hoop, Kate Miller-Heidke, Lucy Schwartz, Miranda Lee Richards, Nikki Jean and The Rescues.

I remember going to Lilith Fair back in 98 (I think it was 98, I'm getting old so I could be wrong). It was a lot of fun, minus losing my awesome seats because my cousin ran out of cash & we had to find an ATM. They gave us a free CD when we left the stadium which I thought was great, because it let me discover some new artists. Might have to check out the show when it comes through here.
