SteelSeries Introduces New Headset and Keyboard for Gaming

There is nothing like starting off a Monday with some new Gaming gear!  SteelSeries has introduced two new items for Gaming, the 7h Headset and the 6Gv2 Keyboard. Both of these new items where launched during CeBIT in Hanover Germany on March the 2nd.  Both products are aimed at developing the Gamers in game experience.

The H7 Headset is was developed with the LAN and completive Gamer in mind.  The headset has 50mm drivers in the ear-cups which cover the ear.  It provides a  soundscape of high, low and mid tones for all needs of gameplay. The headset has a passive noise reduction, so that when your  LAN or trying to block out that significant other, you game sounds will ring clear. Also included with the head set are two types of ear-cushions, leather cushions with noise dampening foam or hear-through cloth covered foam. The headset is also great for anyone that travels to game since it can be broken into four pieces for easy transport.  As well, the left ear piece has an uni-directional microphone that can be hidden when not in use as well as built-in volume and microphone control.

The 6Gv2 Keyboard  is a  new keyboard which has a powerful buffer-system created specifically for gaming, supporting as manysimultaneous key presses as there are keys on the keyboard.  They called it the ” ‘anti-ghosting’ feature” allows users in first person shooter games to move, crouch, aim, fire and even check the scoreboard all at the same time. The only thing that it does not let you do is make coffee.  Currently, no other keyboard on the market will let you do all those functions at the same time.

One of the features is that in the 6Gv2 is the  Media Controls which allows for quick access to volume, mute and other audio controls. A few of the draw backs for this keyboard are are the audio ports for headphone-in and microphone-out, the two USB ports as well as the removable plastic handrest. Which are all features that are found on the 7G.

The Headset is priced at $119.99 USD, USB version for $149.99 USD  and the keyboard $99.99 USD, both for pre-sale at Amazon.com.
