    Naughty Bear Gets Trap Happy

You kind of have to admit that when we’re dealing with bear traps, it does make sense that a bear might get stuck. Even if the bear we’re referring to happens to be a teddy bear. Here’s the next chapter of The Book of Naughty, featuring Naughty Bear following the lead of many hunters before him. And maybe even Elmer Fudd. But it’s never that innocent, is it? Just Cause 2 DLC Trailer Designed to Give You Some Ideas

Yup, we get trailers for everything these days. This one details the exact contents of the Just Cause 2 “Black Market Aerial Pack.” This DLC is available now, and features a jet fighter, parachute thrusters, and a multi-lock missile launcher, all pictured above. It also shows off the next “Boom” pack, before finishing with a trick that I honestly can’t wait to try out for the laughs alone. I don’t know what this says about me. Next Call of Duty Game Confirmed for November 9

Activision announced today that the next game in the Call of Duty franchise will be based on black ops, or, in other words, really super-secret operations. You know, the kinds of stuff the government doesn’t want to claim responsibility for! Developer Treyarch, who was behind Call of Duty: World at War, is taking the helm for Call of Duty: Black Ops, and it will reportedly include co-op gameplay in addition to the usual single-player and multiplayer campaigns. (So we have multiple “op”s now.) A short synopsis from GameTrailers suggests that the game will be post-WWII in setting: Witness the birth of the Elite Special Forces and take part in off-the-record missions using unconventional weaponry in missions from Cuba to the Arctic and the jungles of Vietnam. Of course, based on the name alone, there’s a large amount of stuff the game could include – just check out Wikipedia’s black ops

A “Geek” line of clothing launches for us women!

We’ve discussed here at GamingAngels about how difficult it is to find geek tshirts that fit us. Instead we deal with men sizes. The more crafty of us take those shirts, cut them up and wear them out. Finally a woman stepped up to fix that. Ashley Eckstein, voice of Ahsoka Tano, has partnered with Lucas Licensing and the Araca Group to design and produce a line of fashionable Star Wars products made just for us females! We’ll start to see the products at various conventions and at the HerUniverse website. It won’t just be Star Wars t-shirts, but we’ll finally have sweatshirts, hats and accessories designed specifically for women. Ashley is not someone that took this idea lightly. According to her blog, she researched Star Wars fans and found that close to 50% of Star Wars and Sci Fi fans are women. But that much of the merchandise made

Iron Man 2 Launch Trailer from SEGA

SEGA released its trailer for the Iron Man 2 movie tie-in game late yesterday, hot on the heels of a somewhat…unofficial trailer. Slated for release next Tuesday in the U.S., the game is set to follow the movie’s storyline, while perhaps adding a little from the comics, as well. The storyline is penned by comic book author Matt Fraction. You can choose to play as either Iron Man or War Machine, and Don Cheadle and Samuel L. Jackson even got in on the voice acting (so…where’s Robert Downey, Jr.?). The game also features a metal soundtrack, including music from Lamb of God. The game will be available on virtually everything that isn’t your computer (360, Wii, PS3, PSP, DS) on May 4.

Celebrate Free Comic Book Day on May 1

Free Comic Book day is a yearly event that we love to promote on GamingAngels. This is because it’s the one day where you can get comics for free! The comics usually give glimpses at new storylines or new comics and are a great way of getting back into comics if you’ve been away. We’re not the only one that loves Free Comic Book day: Many comic book stores will be doing more than just giving away free comics though. At Collector’s Paradise in Canoga Park, CA, they will be celebrating with various artists and comic greats. Creators will be on hand to talk to fans and do autographs. This year Collector’s Paradise is presenting their best line-up of comic book creators to date, including: Marc Silvestri – Founder, Top Cow Productions, Creator and Artist – Cyberforce, Witchblade, Darkness, Hunter/Killer Marv Wolfman – creator – Teen Titans, Blade, Bullseye, Tim

GINTAMA Collection 1 on sale now!

Our friends at Section 23 and Sentai Filmworks have announced the release of a new series on DVD! As of April 27th you can now purchase the first collection of GINTAMA. So what’s it about? Life isn’t easy in feudal Japan… especially since the aliens landed and conquered everything! Oh sure, the new health care is great, but the public ban on the use of swords has left a lot of defeated samurai with a difficult career choice! This is especially true if they’re not particularly inclined towards holding a day job, which is why Gintoki Sakata’s opted for the freelance route, taking any job that’s offered to him as long as the money’s right. Unfortunately, in a brave new world filled with stray bug-eyed monsters, upwardly mobile Yakuza and overly ambitious E.T. entrepreneurs, those jobs usually don’t pay as well as they should for the pain, suffering and indignities

    Metaversal Studios Release “GameRoom”

Metaversal Studios announced today the release of GameRoom, an iPhone OS game designed just for the iPad. It is a free application that lets iPad users carry around a growing collection of board games. GameRoom provides the boards, the pieces, and the rules. Players can just gather around an iPad the same as they would sit around a traditional game board. The first version of the application provides rules and assistance for English Checkers and Reversi, but players have the option to disable “player assist” at any time in order to use their own house rules.  The big deal about GameRoom is the Custom game mode, which lets the players customize the board and pieces for any game they want. The lead game designer Jay Laird said, “We want to enable players to play games their way, and we want to teach players new games that they may have never
