Pop Star Who Must Not Be Named Ruins Gears 3 Announcement, but Cliffy Has a Back-Up Plan

So, Cliff Bleszinski was supposed to reveal Gears of War 3 last night on Jimmy Fallon. But, unfortunately, he just didn’t make it on. Also unfortunately, Gears of War 3 still made it on the Xbox Dashboard this morning. Oopsie! Someone forgot to flip a switch. So, what caused the tiny slipup? A certain young Canadian pop star, if you ask GeekSugar. In order to accomodate his oh-so-busy schedule, Jimmy Fallon producers bumped Cliffy B in favor of *sigh* Justin Bieber. (Note: Cliffy himself said that they wanted to take some more time to “polish” what they were showing, but it’s still more fun to Blame Bieber.) Now, he’s coming on the show Monday, but not without something to show. Now we know about Gears 3, but Cliffy’s got TWO things to show now! What could the second thing be? “Boom” indeed, sir.

Full Tracklisting for Green Day: Rock Band

When Harmonix announced “Green Day: Rock Band,” we all had one question – what songs are going to be on it? They didn’t let that information out immediately, but Entertainment Weekly is one of the first to get their mitts on the game’s full tracklisting. Two complete albums, “Dookie” and “American Idiot,” are included, and after buying DLC that was available previously in the Rock Band Music Store, you also get the full “21st Century Breakdown.” (They didn’t want to include music people might own already.) This is the first Rock Band game to feature so many complete albums in the full game. A smattering of other Green Day hits also made the list. Want the full list? Scroll down to see it, sorted by in-game location. Green Day: Rock Band track list The Warehouse Dookie (1994) “Burnout” “Having a Blast” “Chump” “Longview” “Welcome to Paradise” “Pulling Teeth” “Basket Case”

Leona Lewis Holding Her Own Final Fantasy XIII Contest

As the voice behind Final Fantasy XIII’s “My Hands,” we’ve had to hear a lot of Leona Lewis. The song played throughout the entirety of the international trailer, it’s in the game, and we hear it on every commercial for the title. So, if it’s not stuck in your head yet, why? Anywho, Leona’s holding her own contest, one month after the game’s release. The instructions are pretty simple (you can find them here), and the prizes are pretty sweet: Ten people get a copy of the game for PS3 or 360, as well as a mysterious signed item from Leona. The contest ends May 7, so you’ve got just a little under a month to get entered!

On April 22, the third DLC pack for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will be available on the PlayStation Network. It adds the first new co-op game type (“Siege”), as well as two new multiplayer maps, six new skins, and 11 new trophies. Siege gameplay has you and one or two friends against the AI, with the objective being to survive the siege of AI adversaries coming at you! (Hey, that’s the name of the mode.) It’s a constant battle to keep the AI players from taking the territory. Each round consists of one territory, and it’s a different one every round. The multiplayer maps ate The Highrise and The Museum. The former is the Nepalese series of dilapidated and under-construction buildings that you previously ran through with Chloe. It Don’t Matter If You’re Black or White, Those Pokémon Just Don’t Stop

Okay, put down your Pokéwalker. Now, sit down. Take a look at these: Yes. What you’re looking at, scant weeks after the NA release of Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, are the logos for Pokémon Black and Pokémon White. These are brand-new additions to the series, and not remakes of previous games (like what might be in your DS right now). These will be out for Nintendo DS in the Fall for Japan, so expect a North American release of early 2011. Of course, we really don’t know that much (except that it’s for DS only, and not 3DS), but more is coming April 15.

Tim Tebow Officially Hits the Cover of NCAA ’11

EA Sports has chosen Tim Tebow, former University of Florida quarterback, as their cover boy for NCAA Football ’11, on shelves July 13. Tebow is one of the most celebrated college quarterbacks in recent history and will therefore grace all of the covers, instead of multiple players being chosen for the honor, as had been the case over the past few years. Tebow was the first sophomore in history to win the Heisman Trophy in 2007. In that same season, he became the first player in NCAA history to pass and rush for at least 20 touchdowns in one season. He’s won the O’Brien Award (for the nation’s best QB), and he is the first player in NCAA history to win the Maxwell Award (for the country’s top player) twice. So, it’s easy to see why they chose Tebow, but is it okay to use him for all of the

PAX East: Where I get a tabletop gaming fix

I was excited to go to PAX East for many reasons, and getting back into some tabletop gaming was one of the things I was looking to do. Being able to play some classic game systems and checking out the arcade was pretty fun, but I must admit I spent a good amount of my time lurking around the tabletop rooms and checking out the vendors. At one of the vendors, I was able to play a new game that would be coming out from SJ Games called Cthulu Dice. It’s a fun, quick game for 2-6 players where you get an amount of “sanity” marbles and have the goal of remaining sane while you try to make your opponents go insane. You roll the large Cthulu die that has various runes on it in hopes of stealing the sanity of other players or trying to remain sane yourself. If
