Cosplay Just Got Easier with This “Junpei” Pre-Order Baseball Cap

The hat seen to the right is Atlus’ official pre-order incentive for Persona 3 Portable, available for PSP this July. The cap, which “9 out of 10 Atlus employees already considered a tremendous value,” is an exact replica of the one worn by SEES member Junpei Iori (which makes no sense if you haven’t played the game, I’m sure). GameStop and EB Games will be using this promotion, as well as Amazon. So you can get your cap both in-store and online!

New BioShock 2 Maps Get Their Own Retro-Style Trailer

BioShock 2′s Rapture Metro Pack is still picking up steam, despite the fact that it’s been delayed. This trailer, released today, gives you a flyover of all six new multiplayer maps. It also doesn’t let us know when the DLC will be ready, instead choosing to cut in with the joke seen to the left. One thing the trailer doesn’t mention is the game’s new “Kill ‘Em Kindly” mode. This involves no weapons…except golf clubs. No, not kidding. It’ll really make more sense once you watch it below. The trailer itself is incredibly entertaining and well-styled. What maps are you looking forward to? I’m so excited (and in Jessie Spano style, I’m also so scared) that Siren Alley is being included. So many places to hide on all of these maps! What Do You Get When You Combine Taito and a French Silverware Company?

To answer the question posed in the subject, you get a Space Invaders-themed “fashion accessory”! Taito and fine silverware producer Christofle have signed a character license deal that allows them to manufacture and sell silver creations based on the little guys. The “fashion accessory” will be sold in France, the United States and Japan as well as various retail outlets (think Bloomingdale’s, Saks, or Neiman Marcus) and over the web. It will come with both short and long chains to allow you to wear it as a necklace or as an accessory such as a purse charm. (Personally, I’m counting the days until I’ll see it as part of a rapper’s bling. You know it’s going to happen.) The charm will be released in late April (oh, hey, that’s now) and will cost 100 Euros. We don’t have an exact price for the U.S. and Japan, but based on conversion

Sony is Nintendo’s Whipping Boy in Latest BrandZ Report

Every year, Millward Brown Optimor ranks the top 100 most powerful and valuable brands in the world. This list also includes a gaming category, so we can find out just how much our favorite brands are worth. According to the report, gaming itself stayed strong as a money-saving form of entertainment. (Compare, per hour, the cost of going out on the town versus the cost of a game that you get 30 hours of enjoyment from. Makes sense!) Gaming consoles are also quite the transformer lately, with some serving as complete family media centers in the home. Nintendo’s Wii is still the tops in the gaming category. Its brand value has increased 21 percent over the past year. Coming in second is the Nintendo DS, so Nintendo is obviously still doing something right, despite the fact that the two systems are starting to show their age. Nintendo’s main source of

Tim Schafer to Deliver Talk on Game Design at This Year’s Develop in Brighton

The very funny and very brilliant man behind such games as Psychonauts and Grim Fandango is making a supposedly-rare trip to Europe to speak at this year’s Develop conference. What’s the topic? Game design. Honestly, there’s probably not a better candidate than the President and CEO of Double Fine, who have made some of the best games in the past ten years. (Really, if Psychonauts isn’t on your Best Games of the 2000s list, there’s a problem.) The conference will take place July 13-15 in Brighton.

Want cute on demand? Check out KittehRoulette

The picture above is from LolCats, and this article is about kittens. Remember the service Chat Roulette? It’s where you can randomly get matched to video chat with random people. Only problem is, one tends to run into male genitalia instead of someone to chat with. Possibly inspired by Chat Roulette, meet the much safer and cuter, Kitteh Roulette. Best used when you need a dose of cute, Kitteh Roulette pulls random YouTube videos that have kittens in them. I played with the service for 20 minutes (yes instead of writing up an interview or playing a game), and have mixed feelings. Some of the videos are cute, but most are only cute for the first 15 seconds. It’s very common that kitten videos seem to go way too long. But nothing prevents the user from moving on to the next video. I did get the same video twice which

    Red Dead Redemption’s Competitive Multiplayer

Rockstar exposed a little bit more of Red Dead Redemption’s Competitive Multiplayer modes today with this video (the second in the series). They explain that they’ve done their best to combine traditional multiplayer aspects with the third-person perspective and western environment their game provides. They reveal several modes, including Gang matches, Free-For-All shootouts, and “Capture The Bag” modes. Do these videos make the longer wait worth it, or do they make every minute even more excruciating?

    Wii Riiflex Dumbbells

Regular GamingAngels readers and visitors to our forum know that we started up a 90 Day Challenge, using video games and a healthier diet in order to lose a few pounds and get fit. Some people are using Dance Dance Revolution, but I am using EA Active (minus the Wii Balance Board). Our resistance band was doing nothing for me which meant it was time to look for something that would bring some challenge to my workout. I don’t quite recall how I discovered the Riiflex dumbbells. Odds are it was something I saw locally seeing as they are an Atlanta based company. I had been looking around the Walmarts and the Targets and had found weighted boxing gloves, however I am not a boxing person and they had no use for myself away from a Wii workout. Dumbbells, however, can be picked up randomly throughout the day and seemed
