Bach and Allard Retiring from Microsoft This Fall

Microsoft’s Robbie Bach, president of the Entertainment and Devices Division, will be leaving this fall. After his departure, Don Mattrick and Andy Lees will lead the Interactive Entertainment and Mobile Communications, respectively.
J Allard, Senior VP of Design and Development (also in Entertainment and Devices – I get the feeling that everything is very compartmentalized over at Microsoft), will also be leaving Microsoft in order to take a role as a strategic advisor to Steve Ballmer and his team. Allard previously oversaw Microsoft’s entry into the console realm back in the early 2000s. (He also makes having a one-letter name look cool, even though his real first name is James.)
