The Party Continues with “DJ Hero 2″ This Fall

Barring the obvious Beck joke we could make here, the Party Bundle of DJ Hero 2 really does have “two turntables and a microphone,” just like your basic DJ’s equipment set. (If you want to read more on the origin of the phrase, Wikipedia can arrange that for you.) This fall, you can use it to play the latest DJ Hero game, DJ Hero 2. The new entry into what is now officially a series features well-known dance producer Deadmau5 joining the crew as an in-game character. DJs will go head-to-head in battles, Party Play will be used and you can add vocalists to get more people into the game. But of course, we just play for the music: DJ Hero 2 will also have over 90 musicians in mixes by some of the best-known DJs in the world. Up for the mixing, we have: Dr. Dre The Chemical Brothers

“Call of Duty: The War Collection” and “CoD: WaW: Zombies II” app released

If you haven’t played any CoD titles, Activision has published a good place to start with their WWII-era compilation that includes Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty 2 and 3, as well as Treyarch’s World at War. The collection is only available for the XBOX 360 and retails at $59.99. CoD2 & 3 have an ESRB rating of “Teen”, whereas World at War is rated “Mature.” If you’re more into the Zombie-killin’ thing, Activision has you covered there too; they’ve released the second version of the World at War Zombies for iPhone. The update is only $5 for those who bought the original, and $10 for the standalone app. Follow

Haunted Hedge Maze: Pac Man Inspired Tee

I love threadless.com I don’t normally say that about many tee shirt companies. I believe this is because they have such wonderfully artistic tee shirts for men and women, that sometimes it becomes very hard to choose just one shirt. Sometimes a number of the tee shirts are video game, or board game inspired. As of today, gamers are given another option to the video game shirt selection. This one is in honor of Pac Man. The shirt is called Haunted Hedge Maze, and features a hedge maze with favorite ghosts.  The shirt is available for 18 dollars US in both men and women’s sizes, up to XXXL for men and XXL for Women. “LittleBigPlanet” Adds a Much-Needed Dose of Cute to “Heavy Rain”

This week, two PS3-exclusives are crossing paths, and they’re two titles you wouldn’t expect – the “interactive drama” Heavy Rain and Media Molecule’s adorable platformer LittleBigPlanet. You can now dress your Sackboy or Sackgirl as any of the main characters – well, if you’re in the US, anyway. Readers in the UK, your definition of “now” is Wednesday, and the rest of Europe gets them on Thursday. So, what levels do you think are going to appear with these costumes in the wild? It wouldn’t be unrealistic to expect some recreations of portions of the game. I’m personally hoping for a new version of “Press X to Jason.” [Source: Kotaku] Follow

Must-Haves: New “MGS: Peace Walker” Edition headset by Astro

Just a few days ago we wrote about companies affiliating themselves with high-end manufacturers, and here’s another great example by one of those very companies. Astro Gaming, in conjunction with Konami Productions, have just announced that they will start shipping their MGS: Peace Walker Edition A30 headsets today, June 8. The A30 boasts many awesome features for the all-around gamer who is looking for a quality headset. Having tried Astro’s equipment before, I can tell you that the clarity and comfort is well worth the price tag of $149.95 if communication and sound are integral to your gameplay, especially when you combine it with their Mixamp. “Our new ASTRO A30s have entirely reinvented what gamers expect from a modern, mobile-fluent headset.  Whether at home tearing up some multiplayer, traveling with a MP3 player or on the go with a favorite handheld gaming device, the A30s deliver superior audio and voice communication

Free Realms’ Virtual Summer Camp Will Keep You (Or Your Kids) Busy

Starting today, kids (or, you know, parents who are into it) can jump into Free Realms’ virtual Summer Camp. 13 weeks of organized events will keep you glued to the computer all summer long, and there’s always something to do. You can choose to join “Camp Chatty” or “Camp Robbie,” and protect your campground faithfully. Or, if you’d prefer, move back and forth between the two. Everyone has the same enemy: A Bigfoot in the forest. You probably don’t want him to stomp you. The event features 14 new camp land quests (about one a week), some of which are Members Only. Other fun times on the calendar include theme days like “Pirates” (ARR!) or “Pets.” Special Summer Camp-only items will be available in the Marketplace and Coin Shop, as well. Need to keep track of what’s going on? Print out the Summer Camp Calendar to keep up with it
