New “Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions” Trailer Released

Activision has released an E3 trailer for “Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions” before the event actually starts (a lot of publishers do that, if you didn’t know). The video shows off the three dimensions revealed so far: The original Spider-Man universe, Spider-Man Noir, and Spider-Man 2099. Every new bit of information revealed is just a little bit cooler, isn’t it? Hope you enjoy this new look at the game! “Making Games Is Hard,” Says Valve

Looks like Portal 2 is getting delayed to 2011. Looks like the original 2010 promise was too good to be true! The game, which Aperture Science representatives claim has earned 30 Game of the Year awards (you know, in a silly-on-purpose press release), will not be worse for this. Valve’s “PORTAL-2-THEMED-FOR-GOD’S-SAKE” E3 surprise presentation will still be happening. Of course, the sudden caps lock has people thinking that it’s something else, of course. Are you sad about the new release date like I am? Aperture Science and Valve did want to remind everyone that “even though Portal 2 will arrive slightly later than planned, all life on earth won’t instantaneously stop as every molecule in your body explodes at the speed of light, which is what would happen should a rip ever appear in the fabric of Valve Time.”

With a couple of Final Fantasy titles, two new Kingdom Hearts games, and the surprise of Deus Ex: Human Revolution headlining the Square Enix booth has something for everyone. Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, Dungeon Siege 3, and Front Mission Evolved will highlight Square Enix’s partnerships with North American developers while Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, The Tales of Bearsworth Manor: Chaotic Conflicts and The Tales of Bearsworth Manor: Puzzling Pages round out some of the booth’s downloadable titles. “We will be showing a truly diverse range of games at E3 this year which illustrate the strength and breadth in our product portfolio,” said Phil Rogers, chief executive officer of Square Enix Europe. “Individually each game offers something

    Poster and information about Centurion

We received a note today about a new movie from Magnolia Pictures called Centurion. Neil Marshall wrote and directed Centurion, which is described as a “survival thriller set against a background of conquest and invasion”. Sounds like Spartans meet movie that is too scary for me. Centurion follows Quintus who survived a Pictish raid and is not set to wipe the Picts from earth. Of course it won’t be easy and it will probably be pretty bloody. Centurion premiers on Xbox and Amazon.com on July 23 and then in theaters on August 27, 2010. You read that right, Xbox actually has a movie exclusive.

Get Your First Look at the Console Version of “The Sims 3″

This “Confessions” trailer features a lot of people…well, confessing. What do they think requires such shameful admission? Their sins, grievances and guilty pleasures. The only catch is that none of these people have done this stuff in real life. (At least, I hope not.) It’s all in their Sims 3 game. Their Sims 3 game on their console, that is. The one you can buy on October 26, 2010. This video gives you the very first sneak peek of how the game will look on your PS3 or 360, because I doubt the Wii and DS versions look like that (sorry). What are your Sims 3 confessions?

Beeing a book worm at Book Expo America

This was my second year at Book Expo America (BEA) here in New York City. It seemed bigger this year, and this was probably due to what looked like a consolidation of all of the companies onto the main floor of the Javits Center. It was a lot to cover in the one day I was available to go to the convention but I made sure to wear my walking shoes. BEA is a great convention since it not only brings publishers, libraries, teachers, booksellers and the media together, but it also helps to promote reading using both digital and traditional means. I will say that there was definitely an increased amount of reading gadgets at BEA this year as opposed to last year. There were also some booths this year with companies geared to helping smaller, independent publishers get their books formatted for e-readers. Since those have become so
