    Electronic Arts’ E3 Showcase Listing

    EA has put together a comprehensive list of titles people can expect to see from them at E3 next week. There’s seriously something for everyone – action titles, family titles and even games for Apple’s iPad. There’s a ton of stuff here, so here’s the full list of titles, as quoted from a press release, that will be previewed at EA’s booth if you’re lucky enough to attend the Expo.     “Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light” Trailer

    In the week before E3, we’re getting another advance look at something, this time from Square Enix. “Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light” is coming to the DS this October, nearly a full year after the Japanese release. The game comes to us from the same teams that helmed the recent Final Fantasy redesigns for DS. It looks to be a lot truer to the original “feel” of the series, and the story is a “save the princess” type.     Anime Network airing Maid-Sama! this June

    The romantic comedy series “Maid-Sama!” will be airing this June exclusively online via the Anime Network. Maid-Sama! is the latest series from Hiroaki Sakurai, creator of Revolutionary Girl Utena. From J.C.     “Mortal Kombat” franchise coming back for 360, PS3

    Slated for a 2011 release, Mortal Kombat is making a comeback led by its creator and creative director, Ed Boon, and NetherRealm Studios (formerly WB Games’ Chicago). Boon says they’ve been listening to player feedback and want to deliver a game that people want to play. “We can’t wait for players to get their hands on Mortal Kombat,” said Ed Boon, Creative Director, NetherRealm Studios. “This game really is a response to what players have been demanding: mature presentation, reinvented 2D fighting mechanic and the best, most gruesome fatalities ever!” The upcoming title will include a new graphics engine as well as a story mode and a new tag-teaming system that supports four players.     USA Today Releases “Rock Band 3″ Info, Video

    “The main focus of Rock Band 3 development was on finding new ways to experience the music, and actually doubling down, if you will, on an investment in compelling gameplay.” That’s what Daniel Sussman, Harmonix project director, had to say about Rock Band 3 in a video released to accompany a blog post from USA Today last night. It’s a pretty tall order, but if what we see here is any indication, they’ve got a good start. 83 new songs are part of the game’s allure. Not to mention increasing your virtual band’s tally to seven members – guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, main vocals and two harmony vocals – and refining the gameplay. Of course, seven players means that you might need another USB hub – and heck, another television to see all those note streams clearly – but it seems like it’ll be worth it. Of particular note is
