Capcom to Add Playboy Advertising in “Dead Rising 2″

The Bunny’s been a hot topic in gaming this year, what with 2K’s agreement to include vintage Playboy issues in Mafia II and all. But today’s Capcom’s announcement of a Playboy partnership for Dead Rising 2 is a little eyebrow-raising. While it’s arguably the most tasteful of men’s magazines featuring nudity, what will it add to the game other than additional sales for men and boys hoping to get a glimpse of uncovered breast amongst the zombies? The main character, Chuck, will be able to find issues of the magazine for bonuses (make your own joke there) and Playboy advertisements will appear throughout the game. In addition, a few of the iconic bunnies themselves will make appearances (though it’s not the actual women you might see inside – just women wearing the traditional Playboy Club attire). While the game does take place in Fortune City, what Capcom has termed an

“StarCraft II” Gets Its First TV Spot

Last night, during the NBA Finals, StarCraft fans got to see the first television ad for the latest installment of the game, StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty. It’s a short 30 seconds, with no actual gameplay, but to the addicts, that might be enough of a hit to tide them over until the game’s release on July 27. Or at least until the next commercial appears. There’s got to be more than one, right? Follow

Team Fortress 2 now available for Mac users

Team Fortress 2 is now available for Mac Steam users to enjoy. If you have already purchased TF2 on the PC side, you can download it for free for the Mac side as well. I didn’t think about this aspect, but Valve also states that Mac gamers will be able to play with and against PC gamers. Play TF2 on the Mac this weekend and get a free set of “earbuds” for your player character. Team Fortress 2 is also on sale at 50% off this weekend. So if you don’t have it yet, you are out of excuses. To add to the value a single player training mode has also been added. Check out the Macupdate site for more information and a cute comic. Party Like It’s 9/9/99: Dreamcast Classics Coming to XBLA and PSN

SEGA announced plans yesterday to bring classic Dreamcast titles to the current generation of systems through downloads. You’ll be able to download Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi, two of the awesome-est titles for the system, this fall via your console’s downloadable games portal (XBLA or PSN). Each game is “based on” the original Dreamcast versions, so it’s not clear whether or not the stuff that made Crazy Taxi awesome – music by The Offspring – is going to make it into these versions. (But never fear, GamingAngels readers! I have contacted someone at SEGA to ask that all-important question.) They’ll also be adding online leaderboards as well as high-res graphics and surround sound. Achievement and Trophy junkies can also get their fix from these titles. Are you excited about this? What Dreamcast games would you like to see in the future? As far as I’m concerned, Shenmue needs to make
