“LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4″ trailer is both plastic and magical

This launch trailer for the first (long-awaited) LEGO Harry Potter game is as cute as we’ve come to expect from a LEGO product. Environmental details include lots of items you can pick up at the LEGO store, as well as a few that you can’t, but it’s all plastic, anyway. If you haven’t played the demo yet, definitely download it and give it a go. But if you don’t want to go through all that, the game is in stores on Tuesday (just like Naughty Bear). Enjoy the launch trailer! Video Games | LEGO Harry Potter | Launch Trailer XBox 360 | Playstation 3 | Nintendo Wii

Crikey! Naughty Bear’s found the Unibear!

The Island of Perfection isn’t just home to plain ol’ teddy bears, oh no. They’ve even got the rarest of rare, stuffed specimens – the fabled Unibear. Unfortunately. Naughty Bear doesn’t really care if the island’s inhabitants are bears, lions, tigers or even endangered. Heck, leaving anything in the same room with Naughty Bear (or on the same island) is pretty much the same thing as being an endangered species. So this Unibear, which might just be the only one of its kind, is most likely going to die. Will it die today? Find out in the latest installment of The Book of Naughty! Video Games | Naughty Bear | Level 4 Unibear Trailer XBox 360 | Playstation 3 | Nintendo Wii The game hits US store shelves on Tuesday.

Massive Steam sale is going to empty your wallet this summer

If Steam were a physical store, you’d think it was having a fire sale. Steam’s “Perils of Summer” sale, going on now through July 4, puts a bunch of awesome downloadable titles on sale. Not only that, but a few titles will have special one-day sales that might see a price discounted up to 90%. That’s a lot of missing price. Not that we mind, of course. Well over 300 titles are on sale, from Silent Hill Homecoming (currently $9.99) to a 2K Games pack that contains 27 games, including Borderlands, its expansion packs, BioShock and BioShock 2. Altogether, buying those titles new and the expansions would run you more than the price for all 27 games – $89.99. So there’s some good deals out there. But the question is – are you going to wait for a price to drop even more, or is it time to act like

    E-Readers drop prices to compete

The Kindle and the Barnes & Noble Nook are feeling the pressure from the sales of the iPad. The iPad is insanely popular even at it’s starting price of $499. Many point to the extra capabilities of the iPad which make it more than an e-reader. Although many state that reading on the iPad is an enjoyable experience as well. To compete, Barnes & Noble cut the price of it’s Nook to $199 and introduced a Wi-Fi only model for $149. The Kindle is $189 with the larger Kindle DX at $489. The question is will the price drop be enough? Do consumers want the all-in-one advantage of an iPad or will the lower price entice people to pickup another specialty device? Is the price point the difference? Amazon stocked dropped when the company announced the Kindle price drop. Barnes & Noble shares initially dropped by 3.2 percent. The iPad
