Donate toys when you see Toy Story 3

Everyone’s excited for Pixar’s Toy Story 3. It’s so close! The movie opens on my birthday, June 18, 2010. Woody and Buzz are asking to not only have us enjoy the movie, but would like to ask the public to remember to give the joy of toys to others. Pixar is teaming up with Toys for Tots to start a summer toy drive for children that may go without toys otherwise during the holiday season.
“We are thrilled to be working with Disney•Pixar’s ‘Toy Story 3’ on this special summer toy raising event,” said Bill Grein, vice president, marketing and development for The Marines Toys for Tots Foundation. “We are so proud of the fact that the gifts raised in each of the 24 cities will remain in those specific cities and will eventually be distributed to less fortunate children in those communities. It is truly a program where anyone who donates a toy is really donating a smile to a child in their own hometown.”
Participating cities include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Honolulu, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New Orleans, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis and Washington, DC. Look for the donation boxes displayed at each event. You won’t have to wrap it, so just bring any toy. Remember toys aren’t just for kids but for pre-teen and teenagers too.
This is a great way to give back throughout the year, not just during Christmas.
