“Making Games Is Hard,” Says Valve

By: Tiffany Nevin

Looks like Portal 2 is getting delayed to 2011. Looks like the original 2010 promise was too good to be true!

The game, which Aperture Science representatives claim has earned 30 Game of the Year awards (you know, in a silly-on-purpose press release), will not be worse for this.

Valve’s “PORTAL-2-THEMED-FOR-GOD’S-SAKE” E3 surprise presentation will still be happening. Of course, the sudden caps lock has people thinking that it’s something else, of course.

Are you sad about the new release date like I am? Aperture Science and Valve did want to remind everyone that “even though Portal 2 will arrive slightly later than planned, all life on earth won’t instantaneously stop as every molecule in your body explodes at the speed of light, which is what would happen should a rip ever appear in the fabric of Valve Time.”

“Making Games Is Hard,” Says ValveI agree completely. :P A lot of people don't know all the massive amounts of time and energy it takes to create the killer IPs that everyone wants nowadays. So, to anyone who reads this comment, before you whine about the next delay of your favorite game, think about all the hard working, dedicated people on the other side of the looking glass. They're not just working for their paycheck, they're working for YOU.Always read the credits. ;P~Meg
