Turn your DS into a small library with “100 Classic Books”

By: Mandy

Just in time for summer reading, 100 Classic Books will be released on June 13 for the Nintendo DS, for only $19.99. Not awesome enough? An additional ten titles are available for free when you take your DS online.

Flip through Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle, The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling and Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll with just the flick of a finger. Check out the entire catalog to see what other titles are available.

Not sure what you’re into? There’s even a Book Guide. Just answer a few questions, and 100 Classic Books will recommend your next literary adventure. After finishing a book, readers rate them for their fellow fiction aficionados.

“100 Classic Books transforms your Nintendo DS system into a portable library,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “Readers of any age will enjoy exploring the many worlds, characters and adventures created by these icons of literature.”

You can find out much more about 100 Classic Books on their official website.

About Mandy

Gaming has been a vital part of Mandy's life since before she was done wetting the bed. From Little Mermaid handhelds to Sesame Street NES games with Kid Cuisines, to cursing up a storm and facepalming her way through XBL with a bottle of wine close by; the hobby remains. Nowadays Mandy can primarily be found playing Halo, Logic & Photoshop, ragequitting, fangirl meltdowning, and pretending she's going to leave WoW once and for all. In the time she's forced to labor in order to fund her habit, she's a front-end web developer and designer with an ongoing interest in electronic music production and an eye on getting into the gaming industry. Weapons of Choice: PC, MacBook Pro, 360, DS/DS Lite/DSi (don't ask), iPhone 3GS and a tabletop. Find her on XBL/Steam/WoW as Aesyneth, and @itsMeMandy on Twitter.
