After avoiding announcing a price for its Kinect camera peripheral during E3, followed by a few weeks of speculation, Microsoft is putting the rumors to bed by announcing that yes, Kinect will ring up at $150.
This confirms Amazon’s post-E3 Kinect pricing.
What’s in the box? The proprietary cables necessary to use the camera on the latest Xbox 360 systems, as well as the ones required for usage on the original 360 console. In addition, you also get Microsoft’s “Kinect Adventures,” which has support for two players and 20 different game modes.
| At least 15 third-party games will be available at launch.
In addition, Microsoft also announced a new 360 bundle that includes everything you need to get started in the world of controller-free gaming – the new 4GB console (with wi-fi built in, as well as 4GB of space), Kinect and Kinect Adventures – all for $299. Stores should be taking pre-orders for the bundle now, but if you want the new Xbox by itself, that’s $199 and available Aug. 3.If you want to pre-order Kinect from Amazon, we can help you out – just start here. |
