Project Runway Premiers with a Whimper
Tweet
Project Runway starts its second season on Lifetime not with a bang but with a whimper. Even though I have watched every season of Project Runway religiously, I only found out yesterday that PR was premiering. Many on Twitter felt the same way. I have to wonder why Lifetime wouldn’t help promote one of their biggest shows.
Gone this season is the annoying model show, and in this season is a new show with former Project Runway competitors, Santino and Austin Scarlett. The two will be on a road trip across the countryside to bring couture to women that may not be up to date in terms of fashion. I missed this show and will be tivoing it because those two together are gold. In fact, I advise you tivo Project Runway as well because there are a ton of commercials.
Find information on all of the designers mylifetime.com/shows/project-runway. The personalities all seem to be a mix of what we have seen before. A couple of changes this year. First there isn’t a show just dedicated to getting to know all the people on the show. When the designers get to New York, they start right away into a challenge. Next the show has been expanded to 90 minutes. Thirty more minutes for more drama! The last update is the addition of Piperlime.com instead of the Bluefly wall. We’ll have to see what that means to the season.
We’ll see how this season goes. I don’t have a favorite designer yet, but last season I didn’t have one until half-way through the season. The next-on shows that they may be kicking off more than one designer per show. What do you think of the first episode of Project Runway?

I've been watching PR religiously as well and I saw Tim and Hiedi on one of the morning shows last week and that was the first time I heard they were starting a new season. But I had no idea the season was starting Thursday! It was very interesting. But I'll watch it anyway. It seems these past few season I keep it on a don't really pay attention until they are on the runway lol. Mood is also in their workroom now which will cut the manic Mood running around out.On another note I always see Epperson (link below if you don't remember him) from Season 6. I saw him yesterday in Harlem and I've seen him in the H&M on 87th street (nyc) like 5 times! He was dressing the mannequins He probably thinks I'm stalking him! lolhttp://www.mylifetime.com/shows/project-runway/sea...
