“Knights in the Nightmare” gets a PSP trailer from Atlus

Strategy RPG “Knights in the Nightmare” for the PSP has an official trailer from Atlus USA. Yes, the game was previously released for Nintendo DS, but the PSP version does add some flair. You’ll be able to play as Princess Yggdra for the first time, meaning that you get a grand total of three perspectives, or three playthroughs, if you’d rather think about it that way. This version of KitN features remastered visuals and sounds, with new, optimized controls and a new opening movie that will look familiar to everyone who loves Persona 3 and Persona 4 – Yukio Takatsu directed it. The PSP version also adds even more tutorial missions, making it even easier to learn. Check out the trailer below: Follow

In the battle for gamers’ rights, Jennifer Mercurio reigns Supreme

If you’ve been keeping up with the Entertainment Consumers Association’s battle for gamers’ rights, you know that the outcome of Schwarzenegger v. EMA (the Entertainment Merchants Association) might just change the way we shop for games in the future. And, you probably also know that the case recently made it all the way to the Supreme Court, meaning that whatever the result happens to be, it’ll be the law of the land. If the Supreme Court rules in favor of California, that will send shockwaves through the entire games industry that will likely lead to the gradual decline of M-rated game availability. The ECA’s law firm, Hughes Hubbard & Reed, LLP, is already hard at work on their brief, along with Brooklyn Law School’s BLIP Clinic. The final version is due to the Court on September 17. ECA’s Vice President and General Counsel, Jennifer Mercurio, was recently admitted to practice

“Borderlands” DLC is full of claptrap

When I say “claptrap,” I don’t mean pompous speech, either. This September, Borderlands is getting its fourth add-on, “Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution,” and you can buy it for either 800 MS Points, or $9.99 (depending on your platform of choice, of course). The single-player and co-op campaigns involve suppressing a revolution of Claptraps. You’ll play as one of four vault hunters in the midst of a brutal civil war between Hyperion Corporation and the giant army of Claptraps, led by the Ninja Assassin. You’ll have to put aside any hate you have for Hyperion to bring down the robot army (and Ninja Assassin) for a hefty paycheck. Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution offers co-op opportunities, just like its predecessors, and brings together the worlds of single-player and multiplayer seamlessly. This add-on brings you more than 20 new missions and more enemies to blow to pieces. No, you won’t get a level

Review: Legend of the Five Rings CCG

I’ve been playing card games since I was old enough to know how. I’ve done my fair share of Magic: The Gathering. I’ve done more than my fair share of collecting Vampire: The Eternal Struggle cards with my Dad. I’ve even played Pokemon (don’t judge me; I was twelve). Legend of the Five Rings (Collectible Card Game Edition) has been, by far, the most frustrating and irritatingly complicated card games that I’ve ever played. The Legend of the Five Rings collectible card game is a collectible card game for two or more players (in tournaments, generally two), each with two decks of at least 40 cards each (formerly at least 30 cards each). The game continues until a player has reached one of several different victory conditions, at which point that player is declared the winner. Victory conditions include winning militarily (destroying all provinces of one’s opponent), by honour (reaching a
