Virgin Gaming to be a key sponsor of London Games Conference

Richard Branson’s latest project, Virgin Gaming, is a key sponsor of this year’s London Games Conference, titled “Survival and Profit in a Changing Industry.”
This year’s event, which takes place on November 4 at BAFTA, focuses on shifts in revenue streams – it’s not all about disc-based games anymore. Digital distribution, online multiplayer, gaming in the cloud and social networks are what’s hip. (Unless you’re Sony, and then you’re really pushing that 3D.) In addition to a one-day conference, there’s also a dinner, where there are expected to be 200 important gaming industry folks.
In addition, former MTV Games exec Chris Meredith is apparently the executive vice president of Virgin Gaming, which was unveiled at E3 back in June. They expect to launch in the UK and Europe before the winter holidays.
London Games Conference has IGN UK as a Platinum Sponsor, with InComm and The Hut for partners.
