    Mishap: An Accidental Haunting comes to OS Devices

    The Namco PC hit Mishap:  An Accidental Haunting has been released for the iPhone and iPad.  In this hidden object games, you play as the Burtons, a young couple who have just moved in to their dream home. As they are preparing to move, they are visited by a self proclaimed paranormal expert who helps the couple get rid of ghosts by finding hidden objects. Mishap features 32 rooms and is full of riddles and mini games. Mishap: An Accidental Haunting is now available from the Apple Apps Store. The iPhone version is $4.99 while the iPad version is $6.99.     An Evolution of Gaming Headsets for Gamers of All Kinds (and Consoles)

    Plantronics has been around since the 1960s, starting off in the world of aviation communication. Since then, they’ve moved into things like wireless headsets for the office and gamers alike. At PAX Prime this year, Plantronics showed off their latest gaming gear from their GameCom line of products. Most notably was the 777 Headset, which was recently remodelled with Dolby Digital Surround Sound 7.1, a serious upgrade from the 5.1 version released around PAX 2008. The materials are durable; the design is simple and sophisticated; and the sound output was crystal clear. Sadly, this headset is not available for the console gamer but it will provide our Mac and PC gamers with high quality sound input and output.     PAX First Look: Civilization V

    So first thing Saturday morning @stealthyslyth and I managed to get inside the demo booth to see a demo for Civilization V. The first thing that struck me, even as we were still walking in and the television was just on a pause screen of Queen Elizabeth (the leader the developer was playing as), was that the game was so pretty. Like the graphics are a billion times better than they’ve been on the PC in the past. For hardcore Civ fans, let me tell you what’s changing: No more square tiles! Hexes are coming into the world which allow for a far more dynamic movement system when it comes to getting troops from one place to another.     Online Game of the Week – Color Theory

    This week’s OGOTW has a bit of the retro feel and asks us to become master manipulators of color. Touch the color switches of primary colors to make those colors disappear and open up the path to become one with the universe at the end of the puzzle – the shiny, sparkly universe.
