    Microsoft announces Xbox Live Rewards

Xbox is now rewarding you for being loyal. Other game companies have set up reward systems that have worked very well, and now Microsoft is trying it out. The Xbox Rewards site allows you to log in with your Xbox account. While you play, you’ll earn points and then the website will reveal what the points can be redeemed for. Examples of what you would be awarded for are things like buying something from Xbox Live Marketplace, subscribing to Netflix or purchasing a Gold Membership. It does look like you may only be able to unlock avatar rewards, but we’ll see if it extends out to points toward games. It’s very fast to sign up but seems to take awhile to get into the site features.
