Apparently the world really, really likes Kinect
So, how’ve you been liking that Kinect lately? Recommended it to friends? Buying multiples? Those two suggestions seem incredibly likely, especially given a number that Microsoft threw out there at their CES press conference last night – apparently, eight million Kinect cameras are in the wild. As these numbers usually go, we don’t know if that’s units actually in homes or in stores (either way, they’re off Microsoft’s hands), but that’s still pretty impressive, especially when you consider that only about 50 million Xbox 360 consoles are in homes. (Haha, I say “only” like 50 million is some piddling number.)
Yeah, that’s a 16% adoption rate.
If you’re in that 84% of people that don’t have a Kinect yet (me included), why? Do you think there’s anything that could sway you in any anti-Kinect stance you may have?
