‘LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean’ trailer makes even the grimiest sea dog kind of adorable

So, if you’re a fan of Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean series, Traveler’s Tales has released another trailer for the LEGO version of that series. Great, right? The best part is that normally I wouldn’t want to hug Jack Sparrow (I mean, it’s Johnny Depp at his grossest, come on), but this shiny, plastic-y version is much more lovable. And in this game, he technically might not be a drunk. I don’t know, though, “Why is all of the juice always gone?” isn’t nearly as funny as its rum-soaked counterpart. Enjoy the trailer, which focuses on the Dead Man’s Chest storyline. Follow

No joke: Telltale’s now giving away the first episode of its “Back to the Future” series

Hey, it’s something that isn’t an April Fools’ joke! Marty McFly and Doc Brown’s adventures continue in the game, with a completely new story created in collaboration with the film trilogy’s co-creator and co-writer Bob Gale. In Episode 1 “It’s About Time,” Marty is just getting re-acquainted with the 1980′s when he finds out that Doc Brown is trapped somewhere in the past; and that he must travel back in time to save the Doc’s future! The story continues over 5 episodes, with new games releasing monthly. The third episode, “Citizen Brown,” released for PC and Mac earlier this week. And hey, if you like it, you

State of Azeroth: Hello new content

Well things have been busy since the last State of Azeroth. We now have Patch 4.1 and the Firelands raid to look forward to along with some other changes coming our way. We’re also getting back two old dungeons which have been revamped to be Heroic 5-mans: Zul’Gurub and Zul’Aman. And yes the mounts are back. Let’s get into some more news. News The biggest news to come out has been information regarding patch 4.1 and the Firelands raid. Firelands will be coming in 4.2 and we’ve been able to get some ideas of what the new raid will be like. I’m going to start with Ragnaros himself, who’s model we’ve been able to see. Many complaints have come about due to the size of his stubby little legs. Personally I’m not a fan at all. I much prefer his original form that we’ve seen (and beaten) before. Granted things

GUNNAR Optiks now available at Best Buy

Elizabeth and I both love GUNNAR Optik’s glasses. We have run into the company many times at various conventions, and agree that their computer eyewear is a definite help for people on the computer all day. Initially GUNNAR Optiks positioned themselves as a brand for gamers. Just recently they launched billboards around Los Angeles with various MLG players and Adam Sessler wearing their Gunnars. Now you can get your pair easily. GUNNAR Optiks’ Advanced Computer Eyewear and Adavance GAming Eyewear are now available at Best Buys nationwide. Prices range from $79.99 to $99.99. The glasses can be taken to about 15,000 eye care providers to get prescription lenses put in. It doesn’t state if Best Buy will carry the lines that are more for women, but many of their glasses could be worn by anyone. “Our goal is to see a consolidated eyewear retailing area in every consumer electronics store,”

How I fell for a Facebook game

I use Facebook to keep in touch with friends and family. I have tried a few Facebook games based on that message you receive from friends that they are playing. You know the ones that send you a request for a call of action to help them finish their garden. Or help supply them with something. If they are playing, (sometimes alot!) then it must be fun right? I’m a gamer with very little time to game. I have always felt that Facebook games would offer a quick way to game “on the go” but none of them ever resonated with me. I don’t garden in real life. Why would I take care of a virtual one? When it comes to Facebook games, I refuse to pay money for virtual items, or things that help me progress in the game. Most of that is that I’m not emotionally invested enough

    Superman Anthology on Blu-Ray announced

Superhero films are Hollywood’s favorite thing right now, but it’s always important to look back at the films that started the genre. Warner Bros is releasing the Superman: The Motion Picture Anthology (1978-2006) on June 7. For the first time, the series of films will be available on Blu-Ray. The Blu-Ray includes all four Superman films starring Christopher Reeve, Superman Returns and alternate versions of Superman I and Superman II. The Blu-Rays will include the extras we’ve all grown accustomed to like documentaries, never seen before original opening to Superman Returns, and deleted scenes. The set comes with eight disc (even with Blu-Ray!) for $129.95. This would be a great way to share classic Superman with young kids. The first disc even includes Warner Bros. Cartoons! Follow
