    Playstation Network begins to come back to life

    It looks like Playstation Network has a pulse again. Sony announced there will be a phased restoration by region for PSN and Qriocity. The restoration will be country by country starting in Americas, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and then the Middle East. “I’d like to send my sincere regret for the inconvenience this incident has caused you, and want to thank you all for the kind patience you’ve shown as we worked through the restoration process,” said Kazuo Hirai, Executive Deputy President, Sony Corporation. “I can’t thank you enough for your patience and support during this time. We know even the most loyal customers have been frustrated by this process and are anxious to use their Sony products and services again. We are taking aggressive action at all levels to address the concerns that were raised by this incident, and are making consumer data protection a full-time, company wide commitment.”

    Sony Online Entertainment is back

    SOE has sent out a press release announcing that their services will start today. The return will be most of their online games, forums and websites. Players will be required to reset their password. SOE had shut down their services because of the recent attack on their network. “Our main priority is the safety and security of our customers’ personal information,” said Kazuo Hirai, Executive Deputy President, Sony Corporation. “We are making consumer data protection a full-time, company-wide commitment, and have applied enhanced security technologies so that our customers can feel protected and confident about playing our games.” Hirai added, “We are committed to delivering secure and entertaining games for players of all ages and thank each of our players for their patience and support during this difficult time.” SOE has made enhancements to their overall security, and technologies.     I Kinected!

    So I finally got a Kinect, and as promised here’s my update (Original Article “Should I Kinect with it or not?”): At first, I was apprehensive about the Kinect.  I had my fears, my confusions, and above all the only information I had came from commercials and what I saw at PAX Prime.  The Kinect offers an array of opportunities making you the controller.  After a massive marketing campaign many of you bought and enjoyed what the Kinect had to offer. After much deliberation and a sale at Costco, I finally broke down and bought one.  I was very excited to get home but first I had to stop at another store for Dance Central. I knew that any Kinect experience would not be complete without that game.  I hurried home to get everything set up.  It didn’t take a long time to connect and the setup wasn’t as painful
