    Deus Ex fans can unlock content via Facebook

    Eidos and Square Enix are offering Deus Ex: Human Revolution fans an opportunity to see assets early by “liking” the official Facebook page. The page, http://www.facebook.com/DeusEx will feature over 90 exclusive updates. “Deus Ex has one of the most passionate, vocal and dedicated communities in all of video games, so offering a program that rewards that loyalty — even before the game is released — is a great way for us to give something back,” said Kyle Stallock, Community Manager, Eidos-Montreal. “The Facebook community now has significant control over the release schedule for some of our favorite assets. We have a ton of surprises and unlockables planned, so fans should invite their friends to ‘Like’ the page and start collecting these rewards.” There is a history of Square Enix using Facebook in this manner.     Blade Creator teams up with Frima Studio

    Frima Studio, a developer based in Canada, has announced a very interesting partnership. Comic book writer, Marv Wolfman is going to work with Frima Studio to create a brand new IP. The IP will be an “experimental” action-adventure console gaming title. So curious what experimental means! “We want to partner with the top IP creators in the world,” said Frima CEO Steve Couture, “and Marv Wolfman is definitely high among them with his outstanding track record of creating high-profile, popular characters and stories.     Following Science Fiction Authors on Twitter

    Since I started using Twitter, I have had massive amounts of time sucked up by all the interesting people I follow. Sure it is only 140 characters per tweet, but lots of people use those characters to link to much longer blog posts, articles or even short stories, and I want to read them all. I don’t actually get to them all, but I do try. I follow many groups of people on twitter, from people in my home town, to environmental activists, food bloggers, friends, and people for general writing advice. My favorite type of people to follow though, are SF authors. I love looking through this window into the professional writers’ lives, and finding new authors through the recommendations or re-tweets I see.     PopCap Games has announced a partnership with Amazon which will (finally) bring some of its beloved games to the Amazon Appstore for Android.
