    Weekly Roundup Episode 16

It’s SDCC week, so we’re joined by fellow Angel Evy and we also get a recorded rundown of what Trina’s been up to so far at the show. Later, we talk about Capcom, Gameloft’s poor working conditions, unnecessary Xbox refreshes, Origin pre-order strangeness, and…I admit an addiction to Tiny Tower, because I am clearly a horrible person. Here’s the show (and you can subscribe on iTunes, or just download the mp3):

    ‘Catherine’ is coming to Europe

At one point, getting Catherine in Europe was problematic. It was explained at one of those newfangled livestreams that Catherine just couldn’t make it over there because Atlus didn’t have a publishing branch in Europe. Any Atlus games that are out in Europe have had to receive a little assistance on that front. As far as Catherine is concerned, Deep Silver is now that assistance, and the company will be answering the call of fans on that continent. “Atlus is very pleased to collaborate with an experienced, passionate publisher like Deep Silver for the release of Catherine in Europe,” said Shinichi Suzuki, President and CEO of Atlus/Index Digital Media, Inc.. “Like us, they are dedicated to releasing interesting, unique entertainment content for their fans. They share our belief that Catherine‘s unprecedented exploration of the psychology and horrors of commitment and relationships, its breathtaking visual design, and its frantic action-adventure/puzzle gameplay

‘The Gunstringer’ sees a retail release in September with bonuses

Once upon a time, Twisted Pixel’s The Gunstringer was a downloadable game. But then, things took a turn somehow…and now it’s actually coming to stores on September 13. What’s even better about this is that Gunstringer is being bundled with another Kinect title — Fruit Ninja Kinect — at a very agreeable price, $39.99. So it’s automatically two games for less than the usual price of one. (Though I sure hope they wouldn’t try to sell Fruit Ninja at full price for a Kinect game.) In addition, you’ll also get “The Wavy Tube Man Chronicles” add-on pack for free at launch. (The Wavy Tube Man is secretly my favorite.) Gunstringer pre-orders will also include two Avatar Props…not sure what they’ll be yet. Overall, it seems like a pretty good deal for Kinect owners.
