‘Stronghold 3’ makes the switch to digital with 7sixty

New publisher 7sixty has announced their first game — Firefly Games’ Stronghold 3. Now, this game was originally supposed to launch under the SouthPeak Games label, so it’s understandable if you’re a little confused, but I’ve got it all figured out for you.

So, SouthPeak never really had a great way to publish things digitally, so they’ve just teamed up with a new digital publisher (that would be 7sixty) and abandoned their usual publishing duties. Now, they’re just sticking to the distribution side of things (AKA retail). 7sixty and SouthPeak just…have a deal of sorts.

And, to celebrate that new union, there’s a new Stronghold 3 trailer, which you can watch below.

7sixty hopes to work with independent developers by helping them create franchises out of their titles.

Really hope this game lives up to my childhood memories of an awesomely frustrating game :D

Surely SouthPeak could just sign a deal with STEAM and be done with it though? :s
