‘Penny Arcade Adventures’ is getting an Episode 3

It’s PAX weekend, so it only makes sense that we get a little Penny Arcade news to go along with it! Zeboyd Games is currently developing the third episode of Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness for release in 2012. You may know Zeboyd from their games Breath of Death VII and Cthulhu Saves the World. They tend to stick to an old-school style, and that’s what appealed to the Penny Arcade crew, apparently. The game will feature 16-bit retro graphics. “We originally had the idea of an NES-style RPG last year, but we couldn’t find the right people to do it,” said Robert Khoo of Penny Arcade.  “After we saw Zeboyd’s Breath of Death VII and Cthulhu Saves the World, we knew we didn’t have to look around anymore.  Zeboyd was a perfect match.” The first two titles were developed by Hothead Games, who are currently

Here’s what you’ll see of ‘Final Fantasy XIII-2′ at PAX Prime

Final Fantasy XIII-2‘s getting trotted around quite a bit lately, but most of that is because of the number of conventions happening lately. Now Square Enix is at PAX, and they’ve brought a brand-new Final Fantasy XIII-2 trailer with them. Take a look below. Oh, and remember, as Noel says here, “Humans aren’t strong. Torchlight II announcements at PAX Prime

Man I wish I was at PAX. Runic Games announced this morning updates for Torchlight II. A game I cannot wait for after loving Torchlight so much. The title did have a delay from the spring and is set for a PC launch in 2011 (no exact date listed). Penny pinching gamers rejoice! Torchlight II will be sold for $19.99. The same price as the original. “It’s always been our goal to provide exceptional value for the price,” says Max Schaefer, CEO of Runic Games. “Everyone who wants to play Torchlight II will be able to comfortably afford to do so, and they’ll be able to play with their friend online or via a LAN, or play single player offline, all with no further purchases.”” The other announcement was about the fourth playable class, Embermage. The picture on the link looks like one pissed off Princess Jasmine! I hope everyone

    Natsume 3DS titles see delays

Unfortunately, world, you’re still not buying enough 3DS units to instill confidence in publishers. Natsume, the company behind the Harvest Moon series, is delaying the 3DS iteration of that title, as well as another, Gabrielle’s Ghostly Groove — a game that was already completed — primarily due to system sales. The two titles have been moved to October releases, which is perfect for Gabrielle’s Halloween-type setting.

Razer reveals their first gaming laptop

Razer is moving beyond the mice, gaming mats, controllers and keyboards…and on to something a little more complicated. Over the course of a buzz-building campaign, Razer’s been declaring that “PC gaming is not dead,” and now we know why…they’ve been making their own PC, a super-thin gaming laptop called the Blade…because, you know. Razer Blade. Anyway, the laptop is magically less than an inch thin and features an Intel i7 and NVIDIA 555M. Also, the screen is huge, at over 17″. It’s even got a USB 3.0 port for super-fast connections. Actually, here’s the whole list: So, it’s all fairly impressive. And — it features a special panel on the right side that uses the Switchblade UI to switch some buttons between game-specific functions. The trackpad is also on that side and can also be used to display various content during a game if you’re using a mouse instead. To
