    A day at Call of Duty XP

    One thing Activision has learned from Blizzard is how to put on a great event focused entirely around one game. I attended one afternoon out of the two day Call of Duty XP. The event was in a hanger space that was massive. Even though the space was huge, Activision managed to take up the entire space. As you walk up to the hangar, you see the large Modern Warfare 3 image which is actually the cover for the game. The events outside were pretty amazing. First they had a real life Burger Town to order lunch from. The meals were pretty pricey though for a group of people that paid $150 to attend the con. A burger combination was $12.     Convention Beat: September 2011

    I am back this month with a new convention update. At first, this didn’t seem like a very fun month, as I found a lot of industry events and not much for fans,but a little determined searching helped me find a lot of cool looking cons.  Note: I have tried to include information on a wide variety of science fiction/fantasy, gaming and generally geeky conventions, but I am not guaranteeing this covers everything.
