Sony releases special edition, Move-bundled ‘LittleBigPlanet 2′

If you didn’t get in on the LittleBigPlanet 2 action the first time around (for shame!), Sony and Media Molecule are releasing a special edition of the game, which includes the special PlayStation Move content “Rise of the Cakeling” as well as branded level and costume packs. The new special edition will be available November 15. On that same day, they’re also releasing a special Move bundle including the game (something that probably should have happened a lot earlier). The game by itself is currently slated to sell for $59.99, with the bundle going for $129.99.

    Nintendo’s losses exceed previous speculations

Well, Nintendo’s stocks are tumbling down today, following news that the company is expected to post a loss of about $1.32 billion (or ¥100 billion) when they make their financial reports tomorrow. This is a stark contrast to the company’s forecast losses of ¥55 billion. It’s enough of a change that some stockholders appear to be jumping ship, with the stock price falling 7.5 percent. This isn’t all the 3DS’ fault — Nintendo’s also fighting foreign exchange rates and losing, since 80 percent of their sales are overseas. Apparently, this is Nintendo’s worst year in the last 27 of them. Ouch. [Reuters]

First Look – World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria

Yesterday I had the chance to get hands on with World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria and played a Pandaren Monk. The announcement of the the expansion was not surprising to me, but I was not expecting a new class this expansion as well. The buzz around the convention has been mixed with regards to this expansion, but I have to say that so far I’m not worried at all for what is coming. The thing to remember is that what is on display now gameplay wise can very well change come the final release. This was seen with Wrath as well as Cataclysm. I feel that Blizzard has a good base started for what’s to come. You start off in the starting zone and move through quests that follow a very martial arts feel to them. You have to fight training dummies, apprentices, and then a master before being

    NYCC in Pictures

The New York Comic-Con is an annual event that attracts fans of everything nerdy; whether it’s comic books, sci-fi movies, video games, anime, collectibles, or art. I was able to attend this past weekend and took close to 300 pictures. I’ve narrowed down the list and here are some of the best pictures I took of the event: There were hundreds of merch booths, like this one, that sold anything you could think of.   The Legend of Zelda: The Skyward Sword had a playable demo at the Nintendo booth.   I got the chance to hangout with Darth. He even let me sit in the Emporer’s chair.   Captain America Suit at the Avengers booth.   Tali cosplay hanging out at the Mass Effect 3 booth.   Cosplayer from Assassin’s Creed. His hidden blade was retractable, and very cool.   An amazing Spartan cosplay from the Halo franchise.
