    Take a look at combat in ‘Final Fantasy XIII-2′

    If you were a little worried about Final Fantasy XIII-2 because of the previous game’s paradigm shift battle system….well, um, continue to be worried. The game’s latest trailer confirms that the paradigms are definitely back, even if you are only playing as Serah and Noel. There is something new, however — what basically amounts to very, very pretty Quick Time Events. So, if those are more up your alley, maybe you get to feel a little bit better. Take a look:

    ‘Xenoblade Chronicles’ coming to the United States in April 2012

    Operation: Rainfall’s bodies are definitely ready for this. (Oh, Reggie, I’m so sorry.) Xenoblade Chronicles for Wii, previously denied to North Americans, is officially making its way to our shores next April, as confirmed by Nintendo today. The game puts you in the middle of an epic battle between humans and robots (naturally), and you’re tasked with uncovering the Monado blade’s secrets. Because of course a weapon has secrets, haven’t you been paying attention? All jokes aside, this game is supposed to be one of the best ever created for Wii — nay, one of the best JRPGs ever — so it’ll be good to see it get a release over here.     Guest Review – Star Wars: The Old Republic (Beta)

    After finishing my second beta weekend, and with the NDA lifted, I wanted to splurge about how much I love the new Star Wars: The Old Republic – and how I don’t see it as an MMO. And that’s what’s getting me to play it (I’m not much of an MMO player).  A Bioware game through and through, there are a lot of things that I love and that have got me excited for the release this December. A warning for possible spoilers, though I’ve done my best to avoid anything major. As of now, I’ve levelled two different classes into their mid 20s, and my partner has played two as well – Sith Inquisitor and Smuggler for me, and Sith Warrior and Republic Trooper for him.
