The Hunger Games innovative social media campaign

The Hunger Games is quickly becoming the most anticipated movie this summer. Early sales have placed the movie in the charts as the top pre-sale movie. Literally Lionsgate could kick back and relax and let the money roll in, but it appears they are smarter than that. They are building fans for a lifetime. Knowing they are signed up for a trilogy, Lionsgate has created the greatest social media campaign I have ever seen with a company. Not just being active on Twitter or Facebook, but they have really created a world. Created the Districts so that fans can be a part of it. It all starts on the Hunger Games Facebook page. When you login with your Facebook account, you will immediately, get placed into a District. How’s that for fans? You’ll get an id like the picture above and even better…..you can order the physical id and only

First ‘Amalur’ DLC out March 20

You won’t have to wait much longer for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning‘s first story-based DLC to hit Xbox LIVE, PlayStation Network, Origin and Steam — March 20′s the day when you can crack open the mystery that is The Legend of Dead Kel. The DLC content also gives you access to Gallows End, a whole new continent to explore (over 15% of the map will be this new, additional land) with its own side quests and dungeons to explore. It also includes more Twists of Fate, eight new armor sets, eight new shields and 18 new weapons. In Gallows End, you’ll get the ultimate in housing — Gravehal Keep. It’s not just one building, oh no. It’s a full estate, stuffed with more back stories, side quests and perks. No price announcement came with this, so we can only really speculate. (My bet’s on $10.) Reckoning is available now, and we’ll have

Over the last several years, we’ve grown our organization tremendously and made large investments in our infrastructure in order to better serve our global community. However, as Blizzard and the industry have evolved we’ve also had to make some difficult decisions in order to address the changing needs of our company,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “Knowing that, it still does not make letting go of some of our team members any easier. We’re grateful to have had the opportunity to work with the people impacted by today’s announcement, we’re proud of the
