‘Assassin’s Creed III’ on the way this October

Looks like it’s time to get the Animus ready again. In a conference call today, Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed III will be released October 30.

This means that fans of the series won’t have to wait nearly as long to get their hands on this installment — traditionally, the series’ new entries arrived each November. Sure, it’s realistically less than a month, but it’ll make someone happy, right?

Right now, we know next-to-nothing about the game, other than the fact that Ezio won’t be the star and Ubisoft head Yves Guillemot has said they’re putting more into this game than any of the previous installments.

In any case, it should prove interesting…and we’ll know more when Ubisoft lets us see more of the game, naturally.
