Gifts For Your Geeky Valentine
I’m not into too many holidays, and Valentine’s Day is certainly one of those I could easily do without – but I have to admit; Valentine’s Day inspires some of my favorite gift ideas!
With the handmade market in full swing, it has only gotten better! From the funny, to the creepy, to the downright adorable, even sweet DIY kits - some of these goodies make me wish Valentine’s Day came around more than once a year.
Still looking for the perfect gift for your geeky Valentine? {Slacker!} Maybe some of these ideas will help you out.
The Season of the Mixtape is upon us! My husband and I are big on playlists nowadays, we have them for every occasion. But there’s something to be said about handing your love a cassette with every Cure song that reminds you of them. If only we could find a radio with cassette playing capabilities, damn you, technology! With this Mixtape Nightlight you can relive that lost feeling every day. Ahhhhh, nostalgia!
Some will argue that you can have too much bacon, and I will happily tell them that they are wrong. For the bacon obsessed in your life there’s Chipotle Bacon Brittle {dubbed ManCandy} from Glitter City Sweets.
There are tons of wonderful knitted and crocheted items listed on Etsy {take this musical Nyan Cat scarf, for example}, but one of my personal favorite shops is the newer Hooked Bad Crafts. I am completely head over heels for Adriana’s panda hat and I love that you can come to her with any idea floating around your mind grapes and she will try to make it happen. She’s cool like that.
This incredible zombie vinyl album wall clock is one of the most unique I have seen. If I loved my husband enough, this would be on our kitchen wall.
Jewelry is the Valentine’s Day staple for many so show your love in Space Invaders, or in the epic Buster Sword, or the unexpected best love story ever. I don’t know much about Doctor Who, but the charms on this bracelet are cute enough for me to want to learn more. Is the cast this adorable in real life?
Another go-to gift is the stuffed animal {my favorite!}, why not bring that to a whole ‘nother level with a Monstroctopus from the popular, Love And A Sandwich? Also a cute option is the fuzzy wuzzy, sickeningly cute Mustache Monsters. This Bob Omb gift set is perfection!
You can’t go wrong with these gifts for any nerdy Valentine! Top off the romantical evening with some wine and watch Lord of the Rings until your eyes fall out.

Ok, I do not understand the stuff animal thing. If I was a dating a man and he gave me a stuffed animal as a gift, we would probably break up, and I am not even kidding. Toys are for children, I am an adult. I find the giving of stuffed animals to adult women indredibly creepy. A geeky twist to the stuffed animal thing may save a guy from a break up, but only maybe...
