‘Kid Icarus: Uprising’ multiplayer tournaments will ring in the game’s release

Nintendo of America will host multiplayer tournaments at GameStop stores around the United States as part of Kid Icarus: Uprising‘s launch.

The tournaments will start March 8 and culminate in a final round on March 22 in New York City. That special event will also feature a pre-sale where gamers can purchase the game a full day before its release.

The tournament dates are as follows:

• March 8, San Francisco
• March 11, Orlando, Fla.
• March 15, Los Angeles
• March 22, New York City

Winners from each market will be eligible to win prizes, including a trip to NYC for the national championship.

Kid Icarus: Uprising launches March 23. Each copy of the game comes with six AR cards and a special 3DS stand.
