Hasbro delivers holiday joy to those affected by Sandy

Today Hasbro helped put a smile on children’s faces. A cargo plane full of toys and games donated by Hasbro through Toys for Tots was sent to help children living with the destruction from Hurricane Sandy. The donation was valued at $450,000.

I love this quote because it’s so true in moments of stress and hardship:
“Play can help a child gain some sense of normalcy during times of upheaval,” said Karen Davis, vice president community relations, Hasbro, Inc. “We hope this donation to our longtime partner, Toys for Tots, will help the children impacted by Sandy find some joy this holiday season.”

Toys for Tots volunteers in New York and New Jersey were on hand to help take the products to the families in need. Hasbro has supported over $500,000 in donations from the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. Also 10,000 games were donated to various shelters along the east coast as well.
