Ten Reasons Why You Should Date a Female Gamer

Who says dating a girl gamer is a no-no? Tsk tsk! Here are ten reasons why dating a female gamer is a good thing & will only help your gamer cred. 10. Date Nights Made Simple. Every so often it’s nice to be treated to a night out on the town, however that doesn’t mean we’re not up for a night in. Order some tasty Chinese, have some beer and drinks in the fridge, and we’re all for gaming and movie all-nighters. You can make it fun by coming up with drinking games (Please drink responsibly!!) or making the loser do the dishes. Just have fun with it and make it an evening about spending time together. 9. Technically Capable. Female gamers know their way around the tech. We can set up a sound system, set schedules on the DVR, we know the difference between RCA, Component and HDMI cables.

BFBC2, God of War 3 and Activision Contest Winners

It took a couple of days to make sure everyone was contacted, but now I can announce the winners for the past three contests! The winner of the Xbox 360 & Battlefield Bad Company 2 package provided by GameStop is @TheTriscuit! He was one of the several people who picked Charlie’s Angels as the winning team in the Celebrity Bracket Challenge and was randomly chosen by GameStop as the new owner a 360 system and BFBC2. Our What’s Up With Activision contest, which gives some love to Neversoft & Infinity Ward following the insanity that’s been happening at both Activision branches, saw Risha Korrine win a copy of Modern Warfare 2 and Scott Snell win Guitar Hero 5 for leaving comments over on our Facebook group. And finally, the winner of the God of War collection for the PS3 as well as a God of War 3 hoodie, is MSGROCKS1.

Haven’t We Seen You Before? FF13 Characters Exposed!!

(May contain spoilers, so read at your own risk!) Final Fantasy is one of those series where fans have been known to nitpick at the smallest details. I am one of those nitpickers, and today, I am nitpicking character design and development. Several of the main Final Fantasy 13 characters bear strong resemblance to people we met in Final Fantasies 7, 8 and 10. Now, while I don’t mind minor similarities for the most part, I do mind when it seems not one of the main cast is 100% original. And not one of them is completely “new” to the franchise. Lightning & Serah Farron Let’s start this off with the Farron sisters. It’s common knowledge that they wanted a female Cloud to lead the cast of FF13, hence the moody facial expression and the wild bangs brushing to the right side of the face. Both wield giant swords and

First Look: 3D Dot Game Heroes

Once upon a time, in an 8-bit land not so very far away, the 8-bit people and their 8-bit pets, 8-bit grannies and 8-bit monsters came to the realization that 8-bit worlds didn’t have the market value they once did. The money stopped pouring in and life became pretty stagnant. It was around this time they sold their story to the fine creative minds at Atlus, at a reduced rate of course, and proclaimed that they would try this “3-D” craze all the kids have been talking about. (Plus, the King had seen James Cameron’s Avatar, and he knew that 3-D meant billion dollar sales, so he figured it couldn’t hurt.) Coming May 2010 – 3D Dot Game Heroes: The Game Dotnia is a land of many classic dungeons and colour coded keys. And swords. Like the giant one the greatest Hero of them all used to wield, until he
