Free Comic Book Day is Saturday, May 7th
Don’t forget that this Saturday, May 7th is Free Comic Book Day. If you haven’t already, make plans to look into what comic book stores near you will be carrying FCBD comics. A lot of stores use this day as an opportunity to bring in special guests for the day, so you might be in for an extra treat. I already know that the store near my house, not only has a decent number of special guests coming in for the day, but they’ve changed the policy to allow guests to pick up one of each FCBD title this year. Want to know what’s going to be available? You can check out the full list over at FreeComicBookDay.com and you can also check their Store Locator for stores near you that are participating. Below are just a few of the comics you might be able to pick up: Amazing Spider-Man

Check out Perky Jerky: Beef and Turkey Jerky with a twist
Perky Jerky…two words I would’ve never thought to put together in my life. But, it’s been done. Through a lucky set of coincidences the people over at Perky Jerky have come up with beef and turkey jerky with enough guarana in it to give you a small energy boost; good enough for high activity pursuits, or healthy snack options. I recently had the chance to sample some of both the beef an turkey flavors and was pleasantly surprised. I’m usually a fan of beef jerky — I think it makes for good snack and good travel food. Perky Jerky is different than your standard convenience station fare however. They’ve done their best to give it good flavor, this is not teriyaki jerky like you’ve had before. It’s all good ingredients, premium meats, lots of flavor and low in both fat and calories. In terms of flavor, I think the turkey

Review: Back to the Future (Ep. 1) – It’s About Time
Genre: Adventure Publisher: Telltale Games Release Date: December 22, 2010 BUY Telltale just announced that the first episode of Back to the Future is available for free, this alone should be reason enough to check out the game. When I first heard about the game, I was pretty excited about it; not necessarily because Telltale makes spectacular games, but because the subject matter is near and dear to my 80′s loving heart. The Back to the Future movies, are the type of movies that if they’re on TV, I’m probably going to watch it. I’ve seen them all enough times that I can drop in and out of the movie, know where it is and enjoy whatever scenes I’ve stopped to watch. When the 25th anniversary edition was released and AMC was playing all three movies back-to-back-to-back every night of the week, I watched at least some of each movie every night.

Review: Dragon Age II
Genre: RPG Rating: M (for Mature) Developer: Bioware Publisher: Electronic Arts Release Date: March 2011 RENT I emerged last week from my first 7 year adventure in Kirkwall. Somewhere around the middle of the game, I created several saves, so that I could hop back into the game when it finished. I did exactly that just a few hours after finishing my first playthrough. Now, I’m *this close* to finishing my second complete playthrough. But here’s the thing, the more I pick up the game and play, the less enjoyable I’m finding the game — not because I don’t like the story or the characters, or even the game itself — but because I find more and more problems: bugs and glitches as I play. For instance, the day-one DLC “The Exiled Prince” had several issues on release, the biggest problem being that the achievements for the Xbox 360 version
