Dead Rising 2 UK Hands-on Event
Gaming Angels attended Capcom’s first UK Dead Rising 2 hands-on event in a 24-hour casino laced with Xbox360s. The best kind. There were zombies of two sorts, the stumbling, blood-covered kind, and slightly strange members of the public who looked like they hadn’t slept. It felt rather surreal to be entering a casino in one of the busiest parts of London, Leicester Square, at eleven in the morning. It was also very surreal to walk into a ridiculously extravagant building with suited men behind blackjack tables and seeing Capcom staff dressed as zombies, walking like their legs had been caught in a bear trap. Surreal, but it was a wonderful way to set the scene for the impending Capcom-branded madness that was to happen with our hands-on with their upcoming game, Dead Rising 2. Dead Rising 2 opens with Chuck Greene, who you may know from the Dead Rising 2:

Guest Article: London MCM Expo
Recently, I went to good ol’ London town to experience the London MCM Expo ( http://www.londonexpo.com/ ) for myself, and for GamingAngels.com. I had never been to an MCM Expo before, and didn’t know what to expect at all. As soon as I stepped on the Jubilee line on the London Underground however, I had a pretty good idea. There were anime and game characters everywhere on the train, and noone batted an eyelid. I love London’s diversity and the stiff upper lip that comes with it, observing strangers acting like everything was normal was amusing. I passed the Master Chief and a lot of bare bottoms, boobies and blue hair as I entered the hall, plowing straight through stalls full of nerdy goods and mountains of Pocky to the games stands. First up was Transformers: War for Cybertron. The booths were quiet first thing on a Sunday morning, so

Guest Review: Breath of Death VII: The Beginning
It’s a simple fact that a lot of gamers don’t venture into the daunting world of Xbox Live Indie Games because, let’s face it, Xbox Live Indie games are not quality regulated, and it’s pot luck as to whether you have a brilliant experience, or a terrible one. A myriad of controller ‘massage’ games do not exactly help to encourage the timid but avid gamer into XBLIG, meaning that some games get ignored. Breath of Death VII: The Beginning doesn’t deserve to be ignored. ESRB: Unrated Platform: Xbox Live Indie Games Genre: RPG Number of Players: 1 Developer: Zeboyd Games (Robert Boyd and William Stiernberg) Cost: $1 (80 MSP) BUY Breath of Death VII: The Beginning describes itself as a “retro parody RPG”. It certainly feels retro with its 8-bit NES looks, music and play style which do a great job of conjuring up nostalgia for ‘the good ol’ days’.

Guest Review: VVVVVV
In this charming but relentless indie platformer, you are the heroic-sounding Captain Viridian, a little 8-bit naked blue man with the kind of smile that only a naked man could have. ESRB: E (for Everyone) Genre: 2D puzzle platformer Platform: PC / Mac Number of Players: One Developer: Terry Cavanagh Release Date: January 11, 2010 RENT You’re cruising along quite happily in space with your crew, until there’s a massive disturbance. Somehow, yourself and all your crew get transported to different parts of a space station, and you’re all lost. One member, Violet (all of the six crew members have names beginning with V, and they’re all named after colours), manages to contact you to tell you that you need to activate teleporters to retrieve all of the crew and plonk them back on your own ship. It would be nice if all of the teleporters were quite handily in

Guest Article: The Top Ten Strategy Games For People That Hate Strategy Games
It’s a good time for strategy game sequels. Starcraft 2, Napoleon: Total War, Command and Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight, Supreme Commander 2 and Civilization 5 are all on the radar, and they’re kind of a big deal. Unfortunately RTS (real-time strategy) and TBS (turn-based strategy) games have had a hard time from people that assume strategy games equal building a massive army and throwing your huge mass against the nearest group of things with a different coloured shirt on to yourself. I’m here to hopefully prove you wrong! Whether you’re the type of person who doesn’t think clicking strategically sounds like their idea of a thrilling time but wants to give them a chance, or whether, like me, you’re a big RTS fan that didn’t get an invite to the Starcraft 2 beta who doesn’t want to idly wallow in self-pity, there’s a must-play classic strategy game out there for

Guest Review: Muscle March
You know that feeling you get when you’ve been spinning around really really fast, everything is a blur, and you feel confused, exhilarated, and a little bit pukey? Prepare yourself, as that’s what you get when you play Muscle March on the Wii. Rating: E10+ Players: 1-4 Genre: Action Publisher: Bandai Namco Release Date: January 18, 2010 (North America) BUY The confusion started when my boyfriend was a little too eager to download easily the most camp game I’ve ever seen onto the Wii, a game mainly comprised of oiled up blokes, babes and bears in speedos that leave nothing to the imagination. It continued when we were greeted with this. In the single player, you play as a chain of body builders. No single entities here, oh no. You’re quite happy pumping iron at the local gym, with your gym buddies that seem to share your stylist, and your
