NHL Slapshot Announced for the Wii

EA recently announced that they will be releasing a new title in the NHL series exclusively for the Wii! NHL Slapshot, promises to be a great family fun game, with endless hours of entertainment. The game features Wayne Gretzky as the title player, all the way from his peewee years to his prime in the NHL. In order to play the game, EA has in development an actual hockey stick in which the wii remote and nunchuck will be held. You will use it to control your player, shoot pucks and have a blast at cross checking. While taking part at the NHL 11 community event, I had the chance to actually take a turn playing the game, and I honestly believe that this will be a huge hit. It’s ridiculously fun to play.

It’s that time again folks, a new year, the playoffs are well on their way, so let’s get the gamers into the action with a first look at NHL 11 by EA Sports. On May 19th 2010, I took part in the NHL 11 Community event hosted by Electronic Arts at their magnificent Burnaby location. For any of our readers who have not been there, I highly recommend coming to Vancouver to at least get a glance of the building. For three days we graced the EA campus, joined in on tours, took part in some game play trails as well as taking our own hockey lessons. For day one, we spent the time getting acquainted with each other, learning about each and every member of our community team.
